Budding zoologists experience an action-packed week discovering the natural world through activities, games, crafts, stories and interpretive programming. Welcome a variety of animal visitors and people who work with animals and end the week with an amazing field trip. Campers discover amazing facts about animals and their habitats. It’s a wild week full of discovery and adventure that you won’t want to miss!

Rock Star
Ages 11 – 15 (Born between 2011 and 2015)

Ever dream of becoming a rock star? If you are comfortable singing out loud, can read music and play an instrument, then this is the week for you! Join us for an incredible music experience as we partner with Raven Street Studios, a local recording studio where legends like Snoop Dogg, Avril Lavigne, Ashanti, Walk off the Earth, and The Guess Who have recorded. During mornings at the studio, learn all the behind-the-scenes secrets of a professional recording studio. Record your own song, track instruments, and dive into the world of music production. At the end of the week, camper take home a copy of their jam session—a cool memento of their very own recording! In the afternoons, we’ll head back to the JCC for outdoor camp activities and a refreshing swim. Whether you’re an aspiring musician or just love to jam, this is a week you won’t want to miss!

Artistic Adventure

Get ready for a week of creativity and adventure! Thishands-on, super creative camp is perfect for all aspiring artists and adventure lovers! Explore the world of art using all kinds of cool mediums while embracing the joy of messy, uninhibited creation.We’ll head out on exciting field trips to scenic and artistic locations, sparking new ideas and inspiration for creativity! This camp is all about experimenting, having fun, and embracing the artistic process (even if it gets a little messy!)

Young scientists dive into hands-on experiments that reveal the secrets of chemistry, physics, and electricity — all while having a blast. Each system offers a unique set of workshops, ensuring new surprises and discoveries every session. No two programs are exactly alike, so there’s always something new to explore! Mornings are packed with Mad Science adventures, including but not limited to Che-Mystery, Funda-Mental Forces, Science of Magic Super Structures, Wacky Water, Under Pressure Current Events, Fantastic Flyers while afternoons feature camp games, creative activities, and a daily free swim to cool off after a day of discovery!

LEGO® Mechanical Engineering and Robotics

This STEM camp offers hands-on LEGO engineering and robotics projects based on the newest LEGO technologies including Powered Up and SPIKE Prime. Projects and instructors are from Orange STEM Education, owned by Ian Dudley, Ottawa’s “LEGO guy”. Learn LEGO Technic building skills, engineering principles, teamwork and organization. Learn about strong and stable structures, as well as gearing and drive systems. With a partner, build unique hands-on projects that bring machines to life using gears and LEGO Powered Up motors, and build LEGO SPIKE Prime projects with motors and sensors. A variety of camp games and activities and a daily free swim in the afternoons.

Magical Mysteries
Ages 8 – 12 (Born between 2014 and 2018)

Join us for a week full of mind-blowing magic as professional magician Michael Bourada teaches exciting tricks. Learn sleight-of-hand skills and magical secrets each day with plenty of time to practice and perfect your craft. At the end of the week, take home your very own magic kit. Magic is a great way to build social skills and confidence while having tons of fun. Stop Motion Claymation with Film Camp in A Box
Ages 8 – 12 (Born between 2014 and 2018)

Mentored by master filmmakers, campers engage in hands-on exploration of the stop motion animation process, including pre-production, production and post-production. Working in small crews, learn about set design, script writing and editing. Campers create their own stop motion animation and edit a short film and movie trailer, complete with sound effects, music, voice, sound effects and special effects. Movies will be presented at our red carpet, popcorn film festival and archived on our digital theatre, the day ends with a free swim.

Comic Book/Graphic Novel & Movie Trailer with Film in A Box
Ages 8 – 13 (Born between 2013 and 2018)

Embark on an exciting journey into the world of digital storytelling and gain hands-on experience in both graphic novel creation and mini film production. Through the Film in a Box workshop, students develop critical digital literacy skills while exploring the collaborative process of story design and structure. Guided by a master filmmaker, and working in small teams, each camper will create a 12-panel interactive digital graphic novel or comic book. With expert instruction, campers will learn to capture mood and emotion, “comicify” and edit, and create a digital masterpiece that can be screened for family and friends.
In addition to learning the technical skills of graphic design and film production, campers gain a deeper understanding of the creative process from concept to execution. This is a unique opportunity for students to enhance their digital literacy and work together, think critically, and unleash their creativity in inspirational ways. Afternoons are filled with camp games and a free swim.

Get ready for the ultimate summer splash! Each day kicks off with an adventure on the beautiful Rideau River in partnership with the Rideau Canoe Club. Whether you’re gliding in a kayak, balancing on a paddleboard, paddling a canoe, or powering a dragon boat with your friends, every morning brings a new way to have fun on the water! After a full day of excitement, we head back to the JCC for a refreshing daily swim—because the best summers are the ones spent soaking, splashing, and smiling from start to finish!

Horseback Riding Camp

Saddle up for an unforgettable adventure! Our Young Equestrians hop on the school bus and head to the Royal Equestrian Ranch for a morning of hands-on experience grooming and riding horses, learning the theory behind horsemanship, and building leadership and confidence through practical lessons. In the afternoon, we’ll head back to the JCC to cool off in the outdoor pool—perfect for recharging after an action-packed day on horseback. Spy Kids: The Science Behind Spying

Ever wonder how to dust for fingerprints or read invisible ink? Campers dive into the world of science and detective work as they uncover clues and evidence to track down the elusive Agent X! Using all kinds of cool science tricks, gather pieces of the puzzle and get closer to cracking the case. On Friday, we’ll put everything we’ve learned to the test on an epic adventure to the Diefenbunker Museum where we’ll use our new skills to capture Agent X once and for all! Summertime Splash

Get ready to mix it up with creativity and fun! Campers dive into the world of painting and drawing as they create a variety of colorful projects, guided by an instructor from Sheltoons Cartooning. Each morning, explore different art techniques and media, helping campers unlock their inner artists and bring their imagination to life. In the afternoons, the creativity continues with for a mix of camp games and exciting activities. Plus, we’ll cool off with a daily free swim. Get ready to dance your summer away! Each day, campers bus to Capital City Dance Studios for a high-energy morning packed with movement, creativity, and fun. From jazz to hip-hop, contemporary to acro, these dynamic classes will spark your child’s passion for dance and self-expression!
Our camp features a variety of inspiring dance styles:
- Jazz: energetic, rhythmic, and full of groove
