Senior Multi-Sports

Grades 3 to 6

Children will learn the fundamentals of different sports in a fun, stress-free and non-competitive setting.  Multi-Sport will keep children engaged and teach a new skill each class.

LEGO® Mechanical Engineering & Robotics

Grades 3– 7

Join “the Lego Guy” Ian Dudley of Orange STEM Education. Through hands-on LEGO TechnicTM projects and challenges, students will strengthen their LEGO building skills and their understanding of engineering principles. Students will learn about strong and stable structures, as well as gearing and drive systems. Mechanical projects may include vehicles, bridges, tools, amusement rides, steering mechanisms, and transmissions. Several projects will be brought to life with motors. Students will be introduced to robotics as they build LEGO Mindstorms® EV3 robots. They will learn the basics of EV3 programming, on tablets, and perform mini-challenges with their robots.

Junior Floor Hockey

Senior (5-year-old) Kindergarten to 2

Learn the fundamentals while playing floor hockey in a supportive and non-competitive setting. Players will be introduced to the basic skills of puck-handling, passing and shooting during the first half of the class. This is then followed by a fun scrimmage during the second half. Emphasis is on fun and learning

Karate

Grades 2 to 7

It’s not too late to join our Karate class as we have a few spots remaining. Karate is a way of life. Students learn physical skills as well as self-discipline, self-motivation, respect and the importance of giving back to the community. Combines top-notch martial arts training, while reaching new heights of physical fitness and promoting excellence in all areas of life. Assertiveness and personal safety skills are incorporated into the class full of kicks and kiais. Gi’s must be worn to class and are available to order and purchase through 6 Tigers Academy after the first class. Please note that if another lockdown occurs classes will be moved to an online format)

The Joy of Music and Movement

JK – Grade 1

Sing! Strum! Jump for joy! This creative class explores concepts essential to building a strong musical foundation while focusing on the pure joy of music. Children will explore harmony, rhythm, singing and dancing through interactive songs, play with a wide variety of rhythmic instruments, learn beginner ukulele and so much more!  All proper COVID protocols will be followed including masks and cleaning of shared instruments etc.

Yoga for Kids

Grades 2 – 5

Yoga classes are taught in a fun, kid-friendly way and help build attention span, self-regulation, body positivity, confidence, strength, flexibility, balance, resilience, and social-emotional awareness.

“We will butterfly to help improve posture and body awareness.

Cat-cow for play and juice up the spine.

And we will move into strong Warriors for our confidence”.

Poses and activities will help kids to de-stress, focus, and move while having fun. Because of COVID we are asking that you provide your own yoga mat for this class.  All proper COVID protocols will be followed including wearing of masks inside the building.

Red Cross Babysitting

Age 11-14

Learn how to create and manage a babysitting business and how to supervise younger siblings or other children in a safe and responsible manner. Aspiring babysitters also learn basic first aid skills.  Participants must be present for the entire course to become certified.

Topics include: Finding clients and making money, caring for children of all ages, creating safe environments and preventing accidents, fire safety and prevention, what to do in an emergency, good decision-making and leadership skills, basic First Aid skills
