Krav Maga translated means contact combat, my mission as an instructor is to give you the tools to survive a confrontation against both armed and unarmed attackers, although we take all measures to be safe. There is elements of body contact in this course and bruising of the forearms is not uncommon. We will train you in a realistic but safe way to prepare you for self defence. Forearm protection is optional/groin protection is mandatory. Free for Police or Peace Officers, active member of the Canadian Armed Forces and IDF. Proof of credentials required at time of registration.

Restorative Gentle Yoga
Let go of everyday tension and stress in a nurturing, inclusive environment. Increase balance, strength, stamina, flexibility and vitality. Modifications for individual body types and physical limitations make this an excellent class for beginners. Alternative postures are offered for experienced participants or those who want a greater challenge. Emphasis on breath-work and mindfulness leaves everyone feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Maximum 8 participants.

Senior’s Yoga for Healthy Joints
A series of yoga classes designed to address the challenges of continuing or introducing yoga practice for senior joints. The goal is to strengthen and stabilize the structures that support joints while mitigating risk. This extended class will move at a gentle pace and will use props (chairs, blocks, blankets, towels and straps) and creative adjustments to suit the older body. There will be opportunity for discussion and sharing experiences of what works – or not.
Wear comfortable clothes, bring water and if possible, a small blanket or throw and cushion.
The three classes will address knees, hips and shoulders.
Sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 classes. Each session is 90 minutes and includes:
- seated chair poses and seated floor poses
- standing poses: using wall/chair for stability and support
- kneeling and lying poses
- restorative poses and closing relaxation
