Flag Raising Ceremony

Tuesday, May 2, 11:30 am, Ottawa City Hall’s Marion Dewar Square at 110 Laurier Avenue

Please join His Excellency Nimrod Barkan Israel’s Ambassador to Canada, Mayor Jim Watson, Rabbi Eytan Kenter and Jewish community leaders at City Hall as we raise the Israeli flag in honour of Israel’s 69th Year of Independence. Everyone is welcome.

Yom Ha’atzmaut Community Wide Celebration

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm, SJCC

Celebrate with plenty of free family friendly fun including children’s activities with Israeli Shinshiniot, arts & crafts, buskers, Israeli dancing and more. Enjoy food from the SJCC’s own Babi’s restaurant with a special menu of Israeli fare (available for purchase) and entertainment by Yaakov Sassi and DJ Lahit Barosh, aka Jack Even-Haim.
