Celebrating 74 years of Israel’s Independence

Israel’s Independence Day is on Thursday, May 5 and we’re celebrating all month long!

Starting May 1 join the fun with a variety of Yom Ha’atzmaut-themed programs both virtual and in-person. Storytime, arts & crafts, an Israeli folk dance workshop, Israeli food, virtual tours of Israel, educational programs and much more!

AJA50+ Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut on Zoom

Join AJA for a free program on Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:00 am as we recognize Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut with songs and stories.

Joel Yan will lead us in special songs for this occasion. Jane and Martin Gordon, who made Aliyah to Israel in 2009, will talk about how these two days are observed in Israel and share a few highlights of living in Israel today.

Comics Workshop with Nadav Nachmany

Sunday, May 8 at 2:00 pm on Zoom

A fun, practical workshop that teaches you how to express yourself and tell stories through the language of comics. The workshop is guided in easy steps that allows any one to learn. All you need is paper, pencil, black pen and eraser.
