We are reaching out today to update you, our valued members, on how we will adjust to the latest measures put in place by Ottawa Public Health.
As you may be aware, Ottawa Public Health has ordered all fitness facilities to reduce capacity to 50% and go back to maintaining a two metre distance between participants.
Beginning on Monday, December 20, the Soloway Jewish Community Centre will require registration for some of our more popular classes such as Aquawaves (20), Vitality Plus (12) and we will continue to have registration for SpinFit with a reduced capacity of 10 participants.
We are happy to let you know that all other Group Fitness Classes, the Fitness Centre and the pool do not require advance registration at this time. Our locker rooms will remain open, Winter Break Camps are on, and all other programming planned for the next few weeks, will take place as planned. We will continue to enforce our vaccine policy, (all members entering the building must show a proof of full vaccination). Masks must be worn in all areas of the centre including locker rooms and washrooms, but they may be removed during exercise, and we ask all members to please stay home if they are feeling unwell or, are awaiting results of a COVID test.
Visit our website at jccottawa.com to see everything happening at the Soloway JCC over the next month, including virtual lectures, Cultural and Educational Programs for adults and much more. This has been a tough time for so many in our community and we encourage all of our members to continue to take advantage of everything the SJCC has to offer. Staying both physically and mentally active is more important than ever.
