Given the recent federal and provincial government decisions to suspend proof of vaccination requirements, the Soloway Jewish Community Centre’s Board of Directors has decided to follow suit. As of July 25 the SJCC will suspend its mandatory proof of vaccination policy making the SJCC accessible to everyone regardless of their vaccination status. Please note that this is a suspension of the policy. Should there be any movement in the wrong direction, the SJCC will reinstitute its proof of vaccination requirements. As always, if you are feeling unwell please do not come to the SJCC. Masks continue to be optional but recommended. If you have not been to the SJCC in a while, now is a great time to join. Our outdoor pool is open and available to members only, we have a full roster of Group Fitness Classes for the summer and the Greenberg Families Library is stocked with great summer reads. Contact Membership Director, Patrice Berdowski, pberdowski@jccottawa.com to get your membership started. |

The Ontario Provincial Government is ending the proof of vaccine requirement as of Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
After careful consideration, we at the Soloway Jewish Community Centre have made the decision to continue with our proof of vaccination policy even after this date, and we will evaluate on a monthly basis.
The health and well-being of our members and staff is our top priority and, simply put, we feel this is the safest approach to take at this time.
With capacity restrictions now lifted we will continue to monitor our class sizes and adjust as we see fit. Masks must still be worn in all common areas of the building, including locker rooms, and we ask that you please do not come to the SJCC if you are not feeling well or are waiting for the results of a COVID test.
If you have not been back to the SJCC yet, now is the time! Contact Membership Director, Patrice Berdowski, pberdowski@jccottawa.com to get your membership re-started. There are plenty of great reasons to come back to the SJCC in person like Group Fitness Classes, our pool, the Greenberg Families Library and more. And, we still have several amazing virtual options as well like Purim in the Kitchen and Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning to name only a few.
If you have any questions or concerns about what’s happening at the SJCC, please contact President/COO, Barry Sohn, bsohn@jccottawa.com.
