Radical Ray’s Junior Scientists

An interesting and interactive voyage into the world of science! Learn biology with live arthropods, physics, paleontology, chemistry, and environmental sciences in the morning. Afternoons are filled with group activities and a recreational swim.

Kids in the Kitchen

Create culinary masterpieces under the guidance of pastry chef and owner of Babi’s Restaurant, Shabi Baruch. Mornings are spent making sweet and savory recipes. Each afternoon is filled with camp games, art, sports and a recreational swim. Can’t make it in July? Kids in the Kitchen is back August 4 – 7.

Director’s Cut: Claymation/Animation

Imagine it! Make it out of clay! Bring it to life on the screen! In the morning film makers prep, plan and create, film and edit their own stop motion film. Afternoons are filled with group activities plus a daily free swim.

If you read music, play an instrument or love to sing, join us and Raven Street Studios (where Snoop Dog recorded a song) where you will record a song and learn about the recording industry. Afternoons are back at the JCC for swimming and camp games.

LEGO® Engineering

July 13 – 17
Learn technical LEGO® building skills and engineering principles from “the LEGO® guy”, Ian Dudley of Orange STEM Education. With a partner, build LEGO® Technic machines and vehicles, and bring them to life using motors and gears. Afternoons include fun camp activities and a daily free swim.

Horseback Riding Camp

July 13 – 17
Young Equestrians spend their mornings at Circle J Ranch learning the basics of western riding including, brushing bridling, and saddling. The first part of the day includes a lesson followed by a ride. After a hot day at the ranch it’s back to the JCC for a swim and a group activity.

JCC/Next Generation Hockey Camp  

July 13 – 17
Spend the morning on ice at Carleton University with coaches from Derek Miller’s Next Generation Hockey. In the afternoon it’s back to the JCC for dry land conditioning with an SJCC Fitness Professional and a recreational swim. Can’t make it in July? Hockey Camp is back the week of August 24.

Get ready for an exciting week of adventure that will challenge you both physically and mentally. A variety of sports, circuit training with our fitness staff and a daily recreational swim plus fun field trips to the Ninja Warrior Course, Zip Lining and Mont Cascades.

A Taste of Musical Theatre

Spend summer singing and acting in the spotlight! Under the direction of New Star Children’s Theatre, campers work on scene and performance skills, a theatrical number and finish each day off with a recreational swim.

Get fit with a variety of sports programs and self defense workshops given by 6 Tigers Academy in the mornings. Afternoons are a mix of physical activities including circuit training and BOSU with SJCC Fitness Manager, Ryan and a fun swim in the outdoor pool.

Summertime Splash

Join us for a week of wild water fun with a trip to a Gatineau Park beach, a day at Mont Cascades Water Park and boating down the Ottawa River. Recreational swims and water related games and activities complete the week.

Coach Brown’s All Star Basketball Camp

Shoot hoops with former NCAA and CIS College Coach Carlos Brown and his amazing team of all-stars. Perfect your passing, shooting, footwork and defense. Take home daily prizes and individual player report cards. A daily free swim and pizza lunch on Friday is all part of the fun.

The Directors Cut: Music Video

August 17 – 21
Plan a parody or remix your favourite songs to create cool music videos. Using the instrumental versions of songs you will write lyrics, record and create a storyboard, film and edit a video. Daily free swim and group games involving music are part of the afternoon fun.

Magical Mysteries

Learn the secrets of magic with professional magician, Michael Bourada. Spend part of each day learning exciting tricks that will amaze your family and friends. Each camper gets their own magic kit to take home at the end of the week. Magic is a great way to build social skills and confidence.

LEGO® Robotics & Coding

August 24 – 28
Under instruction of “The LEGO® Guy”, Ian Dudley of Orange STEM Education, aspiring engineers will build Power Functions machines, and Ian’s Mindstorms® EV3 robots. Using a tablet, program your robot’s movements, sounds and screen images. Then, with input from rotation, ultrasonic and light sensors, engage your robot in various challenges. Afternoons include fun camp activities and a daily free swim.
