Safety Classes for Children & Teens with Safety Tree

Safety Tree is dedicated to providing engaging safety education to children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. Their goal is to demonstrate that we’re all competent capable learners and if given the proper tools, encouragement, and chance each individual has the potential to succeed.

Programs are taught by instructors from the Safety Tree Canada and most of not all are registered with the College of Teachers as well as being trained in First Aid. Participants must be turning the minimum age within at least 6 weeks of the class offered.

Red Cross Babysitting

Age 11-14

Participants learn how to create and manage a babysitting business and how to supervise younger siblings or other children in a safe and responsible manner. Aspiring babysitters also learn basic first aid skills.  Participants must be present for the entire full-day course to become certified.

Topics include: Finding clients and making money, caring for children of all ages, creating safe environments and preventing accidents, fire safety and prevention, what to do in an emergency, good decision-making and leadership skills, basic First Aid skills.
