I love the flexibility that a class like Bootcamp gives me to find new ways to challenge my participants. Bootcamp-style classes are (in my opinion) the perfect blend of resistance training and a cardiovascular challenge. This type of workout is both doable and challenging for any fitness level.
I like participants to see themselves improve week after week. Each class, I like to see participants feeding off each other’s energy, my energy, and vice versa! If you’ve had a lousy or stressful work day, it’s a great way to refresh and re-energize.
Anybody can do Bootcamp! Don’t be shy! I give both low and high impact modifications for most of the exercises we do in my classes and participants are always able, and encouraged, to work at their own pace. If I’m aware of an injury, I can try to give alternate options.
When I’m not teaching Bootcamp I am an Environmental Scientist at an Engineering and Environmental Consulting Firm. Group fitness is one of my hobbies! Other than that I run, bike, and camp as much as possible during the summer and cross country ski as much as I can in the winter. I also have the furriest cat ever. He’s the absolute best and my phone is full of pictures of him.
