Fitness Centre and Group Fitness Programs New Procedures

Starting Friday, September 4, register online for Group Fitness Classes and the Fitness Centre one week at a time. 

In an effort to keep all of our members and staff safe we have reduced the number of participants for each space:

Fitness Centre: 14 person maximum
Group Fitness Classes: 10 person maximum
SpinFit: 8 person maximum
Aquafit: 15 person maximum

  • Access to the Fitness Centre, Group Fitness Classes, SpinFit and Aquafit are is by reservation only. Drop-in’s are not permitted.  Click here to register and/or learn how to create an account.
  • To ensure physical distancing, some Fitness Centre equipment is marked as out of use. Please respect the signage and do your part to stay physically distanced from others in the Fitness Centre.
  • Group Fitness spots are marked with physically distanced floor decals.
  • Masks are mandatory when entering the SJCC building but are optional during your workout.
  • Please sanitize or wash your hands prior to entering a class or the Fitness Centre.
  • Wipe down all machines and equipment before and after use.
  • Please arrive on time and ready to workout. Your session is over at your designated end time regardless of what time you arrive.
  • Please arrive dressed and ready for your workout as Change Rooms are not accessible at this time.
  • Bring a water bottle filled with water as well as a towel and mat as they will not be provided.

SJCC Memberships Restart in October

If you were a member of the SJCC when we shut down on March 13, your membership will automatically be reactivated starting in October. Your membership payments will resume on the day of the month that you were previously making payments, prior to our shut down. For example; if your payments were coming out of your account, or being billed to your credit card, on the 7 of each month, your first membership payment will be October 7. Sunday  8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Monday, September 7 — Labour Day: Closed
Sunday, September 20 — Rosh Hashanah: Closed
Monday, September 28 — Yom Kippur: Closed

Know before you go

  • When you arrive for your class please press the buzzer and be ready to present a valid photo ID. You will be asked a series of health questions before being admitted to the Centre.
  •  Please arrive dressed and ready for the class as Change Rooms will not be accessible at this time.
  • Bring a water bottle filled with water as well as a towel and mat as they will not be provided.
  • Masks must be worn when entering and exiting the SJCC building, and are recommended, but not mandatory, during Group Fitness Classes.
  • Participants must sanitize or wash their hands prior to entering the Fitness Studio and SpinFit Studio.
  • When entering the Fitness Studio please head to the furthest designated station. This will prevent members from coming in after you from having to pass by others in the room. The station closest to the door will be the last one filled.
  • Wipe down all equipment including dumbbells and body bars, before and after use.
  • Maintain a safe social distance of at least 2 meters from other class participants.
  • Members may enter the room to set up 10 minutes prior to class start time.
  • If you’re not feeling well, stay home. We reserve the right to deny access due to health concerns.
