AJA 50+ (Active Jewish Adults 50+)
An independent non-profit volunteer driven organization for the 50+ population.
We are a member organization of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa and the Ontario Coalition of Senior Citizens' organization (OCSCO). Our organization has over 400 members with a demographic range of 50-90.
Our Mission
- To provide a range of cultural, health, fitness, recreational, social and educational programs designed to meet the needs of the 50+ population in the Ottawa Jewish Community. Membership and programs are open to all.
- To be a voice for the 50+ Jewish population in the areas of seniors' housing, transportation, health, and wellness.
- To collaborate with other organizations in the areas of common interest to the 50+ population in Ottawa.
- To inform members about the programs of interest to the 50+ population sponsored by community agencies or other organizations.

50+ enjoys a partnership with the Soloway Jewish Community Centre with regards to use of space and joint programming. We are excited to announce a new partnership with MASC, an organization that promotes arts programming in the community. Donors include Jewish Federation of Ottawa, TD Bank and numerous private donors.
