Programs for the winter session have just come to an end, and evaluation forms have been handed out for classes running from January until the end of March. Please take the time to fill out the forms and hand them back to Gail, Jon or Carla. If you prefer to keep it anonymous please drop it off at the front desk in an envelope with the appropriate managers name.

Scouts About After Care Program

One Good Turn can make someone's day
Scouts Canada National Youth Network created Good Turn Week as a way to inspire every Scout to do something great. The goal is simple: to foster a stronger sense of community, and friendship through consideration and friendship of others.

During the last few weeks of April our Scouts About program and the Just 4 Kids after-school group have been participating in Scouts Canada's "Good Turn Week". We started off with everyone talking about the good deeds or mitzvot they have done in the last week. We then ventured outside and helped with cleaning-up garbage in the school field and playground area. Some of our older participants were helping younger ones with homework, holding the door open for someone else and helping tie shoelaces.

Springtime After School Sports
Our spring JB after school All Star Sports Club is well under way and there are some seriously talented young athletes doing their thing every afternoon in the gym. Archery is really fun and Danny could be going to the Olympics some day the way he is progressing.

Tuesday afternoon you can find us in the squash courts working on our skills and footwork. There are still a few spaces available Mondays and Wednesdays in our after school Soccer and Floor Hockey Clubs. Don't forget about our new Multi Sports Thursday after school program where we try a new sport every week. Remember, we go right until school is over so, see you in the Gym!

Attention Teens!

B'nai Brith Youth Organization is a world-wide Jewish movement, connecting teens of all backgrounds and inspiring them to live Jewish lives while making a difference in the world. During it's 85 year history, the organization has brought leadership and community service opportunities, Jewish education, a connection to Israel and a positive identity to thousands of Jewish youth throughout the world. BBYO is youth run, youth led and adult supervised for kids in grades 7 to 12. Yearly membership dues are $50.
