Soloway JCC Vision Statement

The Soloway JCC will be the heart of the Ottawa Jewish community. By finding a place and a program with us, all community members will be able to enrich their lives and connect with others. Our excellent facility, our financially stable organization and our network of partnerships will be a magnet for members, donors, volunteers and other groups in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.

Soloway JCC Mission & Values

The Soloway JCC is a gathering place for Jewish people and organizations. We provide a full spectrum of life-enriching programs and services for Jews and non-Jews, members and non-members. As the hub of the community, the Soloway JCC will make things happen. We actively support and facilitate community-wide events and ideals. We collaborate with a range of partners and address the social, cultural, physical and intellectual needs of the community. We are inclusive and transform resources into memorable Jewish experiences for people of all ages.

The mission of the Soloway JCC and all community agencies is to ensure the significant continuation of the Jewish people. Towards this end, the Soloway JCC strives to maximize the role of Israel in enhancing Jewish identity and love of Judaism, and building bridges to the Jewish people.

The Soloway Jewish Community Centre wins Metro Choice Awards

We are proud to announce that Ottawa’s Metro newspaper has named the Soloway JCC as a top three winner in both the Swimming/Leisure and Best Gym categories in their December 11 – 13 weekend issue.

To choose the annual Metro Choice Award winners, Metro readers vote on their favorite Ottawa hot spots in a variety of categories including local restaurants, music, theatres, shopping, beauty salon and more.

Metro is a free national daily newspaper published coast-to-coast in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. Metro is read by 1.1 million people daily.
